This book, whatever it's about, is fine. I know he catches a big swordfish but I only remember the stuff that happens before and after he does, and what I do remember of him actually catching the fish was admittedly mainly just him saying "I think I can" repeatedly. What am I supposed to get out of this? not sure. but at least the titular old man has a good mindset for catching this big old galoot of a swordfish.
