Herman Hesse - Siddhartha (1922)

Going in, I was expecting this to either be a very boring book about philosophy or an equally biography of Siddhartha Gautama. Fortunately, I was wrong about both of these parts. While this book does take place during the time of Gautama, it's a different Siddhartha. Anyway, as a book about finding peace and trying to achieve enlightenment it works, manages to be a pretty interesting and philosophical work at the end of the day.
