Kurt Vonnegut Jr. - Slaughterhouse Five (1969)

One of those books I went in kinda pessimistic about and then was near instantly blown away. Tremendously well written, just the right mixture of George Orwell and stream-of-consciousness to create what in my eyes is a perfect novel. I could probably go on for hours about all the symbolism and recurring concepts but nah that's probably a waste of my time. So it goes.
